In the heights of the Basse Terre du Sud, the walls of an old 19th century house appear as the road bends, leading to an old distillery. Exposed beams and stone are in harmony with the decor of the large, shaded gallery space, transformed into a restaurant. Here, food is enjoyed in the tranquility of a tropical garden which surrounds the property. The food is promising and provides the chance to taste local produce highlighted by the chef: pork terrine with old rum and pickles, prawns in coconut milk, garlic and ginger, red curry, and even old rum baba with coconut syrup and vanilla.
